Welcome to Preserving Bible Times.org |

Welcome to the Preserving Bible Times (PBT) website where context always matters! At PBT our purpose is to preserve and present biblical truth.
Our central thesis is that we should never ask what a passage means to us today until we first know what those words and phrases meant to those we meet in the Bible.
Our emphasis is restoring the historical, cultural, literary and geographic context of a passage so we can understand it as a Middle Eastern villager would have first understood it. That gets us closer to the original meaning of a passage and therefore closer to the Spirit's intended transformation.
We invite you to take some time to explore and sample the various devotional/teaching/Bible study resources we have assembled on this site to help God’s Kingdom feed more robustly on His Word. And keep returning as we add video streaming teaching topics in the coming months. If you have questions about our church-hosted “Bible Alive,” "Making Disciples Jesus' Way," "The Bible and the Land," and "The Last Days of Jesus: The Greatest Story Never Told" seminars and conferences, as well as our Bible-in-Context teaching resources, just let us know. We would welcome being hosted by your church/ministry. And be sure to sign up for our monthly contextual “Reflections" and catch Doug Greenwold being interviewed on some aspect of biblical context on Wednesday mornings at 09:15 AM on Broken Road Radio (internet) at www.brokenroadradio.com.
Shalom,
The PBT Team
